Brief description:
Speaking about Uzbekistan, generally people mention about the ancient cities of Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva, Tashkent and hospitality of people living here. However, that is only the top of the iceberg! The most impressive for tourists getting Uzbekistan is the atmosphere of unknown world, where all the dreams come true. At present such cities as Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva can present not only the ancient monuments, but also the opportunity to feel the spirit of Medieval Era. These cities are as other first centers of human civilization — Babylon and Memphis, Athens and Rome, Alexandria and Byzantium intended to go through many events and shakes. They are the witnesses of the history, how the civilizations appeared and disappeared during the pathway of the peoples inhabited here. The tour of “Fairy cities of Uzbekistan” is proud to present Khiva city, which is city-museum, like Pompeya and Gerkulanum, but unlike those places it is alive city. As many Eastern cities, Khiva was born «on the water» — in the lower reaches of the Amudarya river and grew up on the irrigated lands of Khorezm oasis. Khiva is one of the few cities in the world, where the historical building up has actually been preserved; as a matter of fact it is a whole city in the open air. Monumental architecture of Khiva of the end of the 18th — mid-19th centuries formed this newly built city and the energy with which the city grew up in the course of only two-three generations of masters fascinates us until now. Moreover, the visitors will be able to see Sacred Bukhara. In the middle centuries it was the big commercial center along the Great Silk Road. Bukhara is an «open air museum city» too as well as Samarkand and Khiva; it has more than 140 architectural monuments from the Middle Ages. Such ensembles as PoiKalyan, Kos-Madras, Mausoleum of Ismail Samani and others, established 2300 years ago is still draws the huge attention. The tour is going to be fascinating!
