Itinerary: Tashkent –Fergana – Margilan – Rishtan – Fergana – Kokand – Tashkent – Nukus – Khodeili – Khiva –
Bukhara – Samarkand – Tashkent
Duration: 12 days/11 night

Detailed itinerary:

Day 1: Tashkent
On arrival in Tashkent you will be met by our representative with meeting board “Asia Travel Discoveries”.

Day 2: Tashkent
07:00 – 09:00 AM. Breakfast at the hotel.
-Full day excursion in Tashkent:
-Khast Imam Complex (XVI-XX cc.)
-eastern market Chor-Su
-Abdul Kasim Medressa where we can see a lot of souvenirs workshops (XIX c.)
-Toshkent city complex
Break for lunch
After lunch, continuation of exploring Tashkent.
-Applied Arts Museum where kept the best Uzbek handicrafts
-Independence Square – the main square in Uzbekistan
-Alisher’s Navoi Uzbek state Opera and Ballet Theatre
-Monument of Courage dedicated to earthquake in 1966 year.
After excursion, free time at leisure.

Day 3: Tashkent – Margilan — Rishtan — Fergana – 350 km (transfer 6-7 hrs)
07:00 – 09:00 AM. Breakfast at the hotel.
09:00 AM Check-out from the hotel and drive to Fergana valley.
Transfer to Fergana. On the way visit Margilan and Rishtan — two famous cities of Fergana valley, which is used to be
called as ‘Garden of Uzbekistan’.
Margilan – ancient city of Uzbekistan was laying in the crossing of the ways of Great Silk Road and still is famous as
craft centre of silk producing. Exactly here ‘Yodgorlik’ silk factory is located, where we will see silk producing process
step by step.

Rishtan – famous pottery producing centre. Ceramics producing had appeared here about 1000 years ago. Ceramics
of Rishtan’s craft men in blue “ishkor” glazed was in requisition at the territory from China till Arabian Peninsula – in

extension of whole Silk Road, although many famous ceramists from other regions has painted pottery with leaden-
colored glaze too. After excursion proceed to Fergana.

Day 4: Fergana – Kokand — Tashkent – 330 km (transfer 5-6 hrs)
07:00 – 09:00 AM. Breakfast at the hotel.
09:00 AM Check-out from the hotel and drive back to Tashkent.
On the way excursion in Kokand.
-Khudoyar-khan palace, Dakhman-Shahon complex (XIX – XX cc.)
-Djami mosque
-Mulkabad mosque (XX c.)
-Modarikhan necropolis and graveyard (XIX – XX cc.)
After excursion, proceed to Tashkent. Upon arrival to Tashkent, check-in to the hotel. Free time at leisure.

Day 5: Tashkent — Nukus — Khiva — 280 km (transfer 6-7 hrs)
06:00 Transfer to local airport for flight to Nukus by HY 1011 07:10/08:55 AM (subject to change in accordance
local flight schedule).
Excursion in Nukus.
-Museum of Igor Savitskiy. Museum exhibits collection of Russian avant-garde painting 20-40 years of the 20th
century, the world’s second largest after the Russian Museum in St. Petersburg.
After visiting the museum, we drive to the village Khodjeyli (35 km). Excursion in Khodjeili.
-architectural complex «Mizdakhan.» The archaeological complex of ancient Mizdakhan, located in a large area over
200 hectares include Gyaur Kala fortress, Shamun nabi, Mazlumhan Sulu Erejep Halfa, caravanserai (XIV-XVIII cc.)
After excursion, drive to Khiva. Upon arrival, accommodation at the hotel. Free time at leisure.

Day 6: Khiva
07:00 – 09:00 AM Breakfast at the hotel.
Full day excursion in Khiva by walk.
Khiva – is a beautiful and ancient town and perfect for exploring by walk, with impressive four walls at the centre of
each side of the old city named Ichan-Kala.
-Monument of Al-Khorezmiy
-Kalta Minor Minaret and Mohammed Rakhim Khan Medressa,
-Juma Mosque (XVII c.),
-the Islom-Khodja complex includes mosque and minaret,
-the Kuhna Ark, which was the main fortress,
-the Pakhlavon Mahmud Mausoleum complex
During excursion, break for lunch time.
After excursion, free time at leisure for photo&shopping.
Upon arrival to Fergana, accommodation at the hotel. Free time at leisure.

Day 7: Khiva – Bukhara – 450 km (transfer 7-8 hrs)
07:00 – 09:00 AM Breakfast at the hotel.
09:00 Check-out from the hotel and drive to Bukhara.
Drive to Bukhara — ancient and interesting city and UNESCO heritage. The road will be via Kyzylkum desert and Amu
Darya River, the largest in Central Asia. Kyzylkum desert, an oasis of ancient Khorezm, located among the dunes,
keeping the ruins of ancient cities. «Kyzyl Kum» means «red sands». Indeed, the local sands are reddish, oddly
mirrored in the waters of the great Amu Darya river. In the evening arrive to Bukhara and transfer to hotel.

Day 8: Bukhara
07:00 – 09:00 AM Breakfast at the hotel.
Full day excursion in Bukhara.
-mausoleum of the Samanids (IX-X cc.) — the pearl of Central Asia .
-Chashma Ayub (XII c.), which means «source of Job.»
-Bolo House complex including a reservoir, a Friday mosque and minaret.
-Arc citadel (VII-XIX cc.)
-Poi Kalyan complex (XII-XVI c
-one of the biggest architectural ensembles of Bukhara «Lyabi House.»
-Madrassa «Nadir Devanbegi»
-The oldest mosque Magoki Attori located next to the ensemble “Lyabi House”, built in the tradition of figurative
brick masonry and carved ornaments of archaic majolica.
-Chor Minor Madrassa (XVIII c.)

Day 9: Bukhara – Nurata – KyzylKum desert (Yurt camp) — 220 km (transfer 4-5 hrs)
07:00 – 09:00 AM Breakfast at the hotel.
Continuation of sightseeing in Bukhara.

After excursion, transfer to Nurata.
On the way visit the city Nurata. «Chashma» (spring) — one of the most important Islamic center in Nurata. The
complex includes: Juma Mosque, Mausoleum of Nurata. Next to visit fortress Nur, built by Great Alexander. After
excursion in Nurata proceed to Kyzyl Kym desert. On arrival, accommodation at Yurt camp. After dinner, you will see
the national folklore show at the campfire.

Day 10: Kyzylkum desert — Samarkand — 270 km (transfer 4-5 hrs)
08:00 – 09:00 Breakfast.
09:00 – 10:00 Camel riding (10-15 minutes for each person)

After lunch, drive to Samarkand.

Day 11: Samarkand – Tashkent – 300 km (transfer 2 hrs)

-Gur – Emir Mausoleum – the famous necropolis of Tamerlane (XIV-XV cc.)
-famous oriental Bazaar Siyob
-Bibi-Khanum Mosque dedicated to one of Tamerlane’s wife (XIV-XV cc.)
-Shohi-Zinda memorial Complex (XI-XV cc.)
-Ulugbek Observatory – one of the greatest in the middle ages.
After excursion, transfer to Tashkent by train, flight or road.Upon arrival to Tashkent, transfer to hotel for overnight.

Day 12: Tashkent

Transfer to airport for flight to your destination before 2.5 hrs in advance
